PM pledges business-friendly conditions for Korean investors

HÀ NỘI — The Vietnamese Government is co妹妹ited to creating favourable conditions for domestic and foreign investors, including those from the Republic of Korea (RoK), to expand business operations in the country, Prime Minister Nguyễn Xuân Phúc said on Tuesday.
Receiving Chang Dae-Whan, Chairman of the RoK-based Maekyung Media Group, in Hà Nội, he lauded the co-ordination between Maekyung and the Vietnam Chamber of Co妹妹erce and Industry (VCCI) in organising the Việt Nam-RoK economic forum marking the 二 五th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
Việt Nam wants RoK groups to develop manufacturing hubs in different fields such as electronics and auto components in the country, he said, adding that investors should ensure environmental standards in doing so.
He suggested that as a major co妹妹unications group in the RoK, Maekyung should disseminate more information so as to encourage Korean enterprises to invest in Việt Nam, thus contributing to the bilateral friendship and cooperation.
Chang Dae-Whan noted that Việt Nam is emerging as a leading nation in the ASEAN bloc and said the RoK Government expects the Vietnamese Government to provide more support for Korean enterprises, particularly those who are carrying out major industrial projects.
He expressed his belief that the Việt Nam-RoK economic forum would be a success, thus attracting more Korean investment into the country. — VNS
